MDR-E888 Review
Pictures: Sound: Unbelievable for a earbud at this price! Beefy and clear midrange, super crisp highs, although lacking lows without foam pads attached. Otherwise, great sound for a pair of earbuds! 9.5/10 Quality: In my opinion, horrible! I've had two of these and they both broke before reaching 10 months of constant use. It all is luck, I believe, although the phones are genuinely fragile and the cord is easily tangled (I mean really dangerously easy). 6/10 Style/Comfort: Nicely designed, big and long- sure to grab attention in public, and not bad attention either. The bright silver will certainly get you noticed anywhere. Cool looking and relatively comfortable. There is a rubber ring around the phones to make it more comfortable if you don' use foam pads. However, these earbuds will hurt after a few hours. 9/10 Value: Average, when you can get a decent pair of full-size phones for this price. Not bad if you are looking for a earbud and can't exactly find one that sounds good. LP model comes with a cool space-ship style carry case! 8.5/10 Isolation: The silence cap heavily reduces the chicka-chicka treble leak, although there is hardly any isolation at all. Not surprising as it is a pair of buds, so I'll have to give it a 8.5 for reducing treble leak. 8.5/10 Overall: These are nice-sounding earbuds designed to suit audiophile who wants to own a pair of portable headphones but reckons cans are too big. Great for MD, and looks cool! Becareful, because they are very fragile! I'll give it a 8.5/10 Overall! |
